Hol's der Teufel (OK-A415)

Hol’s der Teufel (literally “To hell with it!”) is a historic single-seat glider dating back to 1928. The original design was created by Alexander Lippisch and Hans Jacobs at the legendary Wasserkuppe platform in Germany as a training glider.

Aircraft Story

The replica of the "Hol's der Teufel" OK-A415 glider was built by Jiří Leník, Gerhard Maleschka, and Jan Krejčí. The replica was built in recent history according to the original plans and was registered as an ultralight glider. On May 2, 2004, the Teufel was flown for the first time.

It is active at international historical meetings and veteran rallies and the International Vintage Glider Club Rally.

In 2009, the OK-A415 was piloted by Ulf Kern, who flew it for 7.05 hours at the Vintage Glider Club International Rally, winning the Best Achievement Trophy (best performance at a rally for a historical or replica aircraft).

The inscription comes from the Swedish expression "Djävlar Anamma" uttered while working in the workshop — which means something like "the devil take it."

In 2025, after repairs, it was exhibited at the Aero Friedrichshafen international exhibition above HPH gliders as an example of the development of gliders over nearly 100 years.

It was then renamed SODOMKA S-1 for a few days and maiden flight after repairs.
